Tuesday Night in Hotlanta

Okay, here I sit watching the finale of Move To Love. If you have been on another planet somewhere...this is a Bachelor type show with a heavy guy and thick chicks he has to pick from. He has it down to two girls and I want him to pick Tali. She is a beautiful Jewish girl. I can't imagine being on national television dating and knowing that the guy I'm dating is also dating a dozen or more other heavy gals.

So I will lose two hours from my life watching this and I figured since I share practically everything else with you I would let you know about my time wasters. I could be painting, drawing, writing, or reading a book. I am currently reading a book I love by an author I always am very satisfied with....Philippa Gregory. The book is The White Queen. I can truly escape into the 15th century and not cloud up my mind with deadlines, reports and evaluations. Although they are a big part of my life I need to sit them in a corner and enjoy myself once in a while.

A couple of hours ago I got to go out to eat with some of my staff. We went to a wonderful Indian restaurant. I had a chicken curry dish and it was fabulous. We laughed and ate and laughed some more. We said it would be fun to visit ethnic restaurants from all of our backgrounds. We had at the table: Chinese, African-American, Indian, Cuban/Pakistani, German/Hungarian and I'm Arabic.

I hope you have had a neat day. It's Tuesday and it's been a great day!

I totally understand having to 'escape' sometimes. I sit in my corner with Agatha Christie. She and I go way back. I take my imaginary trips to 1930's-40's England, and it's a wonderful trip.

Ooooh a night to vegitate with the teli. I watch movies every morning. Yep, after 30 minutes of the local headlines it gets repetative after that so I watch my tapes and DVDs. This week is Lost in Austen, lurve it. I sit at my vanity table and my little tv is next to it.

That's right you lurve Indian food too! I like Thai too. I like your idea to visit all the restaurants of your peers. Sounds like fun.

What's 2 hours if you're enjoying yourself? Go on enjoy...relax!! I can't wait to read Dan Brown's new book. You are so lucky to have places near you to eat such wonderful food.

i had never watched that show but tonight turned in for the finale. it was interesting and felt he certainly picked the gal with the most personality.

i have soooo many time wasters but don't feel guilty about any of them.

Sometime you just need to do something mindless! It's a great stress reliever...and so is eating and laughing with friends! You did both! :)

HiTrish,
Thanks for coming by to visit me today! I'm glad to be back to blogging and hearing from old friends! :) I love Philipa Gregory's books (especially the one about Mary Queen of Scots). Believe me, I know what it is like when you need to have a little reading time for yourself
Hugs, Bebe :)

The book sounds so interesting to me. I too love to be taken away from the modern world.

Yummy sounding food too! Let us know if you try out those other cuisines.

Hey Trish, I've just been catching up with all that's going on with you. I'm slowly getting back into the world of blog. Glad Avery is back. I know you are thrilled. How about that Project Runway tonight. I love it when the assignment is so challenging.
