I am thinking that I need to slow down and appreciate each and every day. All the worrying and fretting do not change one thing, except messing up your health and they rob you of time and energy. I don't know exactly why I felt like writing this, but maybe someone will relate to this.
I think I'm going to make a list of things that will be fun:
- Working on my daughter's Christmas present
- Catching up on correspondence
- Planning some recipes for a low-sodium diet
- Doing a much needed pedicure
- Working on my study of Esther by Beth Moore
- Getting signed up at the Y when I get back to Atlanta (water aerobics)
- Start making jewelry again. I have the supplies and just need to take the time.

Checking in with you this morning Trish... The photos of Avery's trip are just gorgeous.
I can truly relate to your latest post this morning. We all have our concerns and fears and I too have to tell the Lord that I trust Him with my life every day.
Thanks for your thoughts.
You will lurve to Esther study. I finished it in the spring with our womens ministry. As always with Beths studies, you won't look at the book of Esther the same way again. Each time I see all my penciled in notes of the pages of my bible I am reminded of the new wisdom I have for Gods word. Glad to hear you are resting and reflecting! Have a great day and remember in anything that you do .... It starts when you get there and ends when you leave. Don't stress
I like your fun list, Trish. You are gonna love water aerobics. I need to get back into it again, too. There's something so therapeutic about being in the water. Make sure you get yourself some water shoes. They make all the difference in the world!
Avery's a smart girl...she'll be fine!
Try finning when you get to the pool..it's a blast! You put on fins and use a board to push through the water.
Live in the presence of the Lord....the world will fade away....that's what my devotion said this morning from the book "Jesus Calling"
Blessings sweety!
Your list sounds wonderful! And just giving my self a pedicure this morning, I highly recommend that one! tee-hee!
I think our kids get 9 days missed.
If she runs into trouble, have Jolie see about having the Hawaii trip listed as an educational experience and if it could be an excused absence. Kids here can take trips with their family and do that. Not sure if it's the same there with the state laws. Otherwise, she'll need a doctor's excuse if she stays home sick anymore.
Enjoy your quiet, stree-free day! And yes...don't worry! :)
Don't worry...be happy! Remember that old song? I'm sure everything will be okay with Avery.
As to low sodium...I try to buy the stuff that has less. Usually it tastes pretty good. My weakness is chips and popcorn...but they blow me up like a balloon.
Water aerobics sounds like fun! Sadly there are no pools near me that I could use. I walk a lot but it's been hard on my feet lately.
Good to hear Avery is feeling better --I'm sure she'll catch up at school with a little extra effort.
Glad you enjoyed my Yellowstone photos --it was a wonderful trip and Wyoming is a beautiful state to visit!
All very good things to do!
I can't see you being bored. Minds too active!
Avery will catch up. She can't help being ill.She sounds a bright child.
I'm with you Trish... I need to slow down... we have already started working on Christmas music in choir... I love Christmas, but life just seems to be going by sooo rapidly lately... it seems I don't have time to catch my breath!!
Can't imagine doing what you do each week.
I can relate to your list of fun things. It seems I get so intent on keeping up on what needs to get done, I forget the need to find some fun things in my life. Must find my pad of paper and a pen!! Thanks for sharing. =)
I laugh at your post...all the things you should and plan to do. I am the same way, then I'm lucky if I accompllish one of them. But one is better than none, right???
Thanks for visiting my blog, or I wouldn't never have found yours. I'm a GA girl as well ( Columbus ) though I went to nursing school in New Orleans some 42 years ago and have lived in the San Francisco area for the last 32 years, when I'm not out globe trotting!!!
Hi Miss Trish,
It sounds like you are on the right track. Worrying doesn't help at all, it just robs us of our joy and energy.
The Y sounds like fun. I haven't been in years.
love ya,
Barb
