I just wanted to give you an update on Avery's adventures. I still don't have pictures of her, but we talk everyday. She is having a great time. First, they went to Hilo and now they are in Honolulu. She's gone to the zoo, volcanoes, her daddy's wedding on the beach Friday night and she still has several days to go.
She's tried papaya, mango and salad. They have hiked all over and she is having a great time. We miss her, but I am so happy she got this wonderful opportunity. I am having a restful weekend and going to get me a cup of hot tea and read for a while. I hope you are having a restful weekend too.

Cool! This will be a trip of a lifetime for her. I hope she has a safe journey all around. I'll bet she has oodles of neat photos to share with her sweet grandma upon her return.
Have a happy Sunday pal! :)
You are really lucky that you are able to speak to Avery every day! That is really great. I had to wait five weeks to hear news of my family. (Apart from a brief email to say they had arrived in Japan.)
Sounds like a trip of a lifetime.
Wow! I didn't know she was going to her dad's wedding in all this. Now this makes sense. But still what a wonderful memory. I remember all my trips as a child.
So what book are you reading this week?
Sounds like she's having a wonderful time! What memories! We're having a very laid back, restful weekend, too. That's just the way I like them. :)
Love the redecorating that's going on around here!
Oh fun!
Maggie--we got Avery a prepaid Tracfone so we could keep in touch. ChaCha-I'm finishing up Boundaries and The Young Ones Matter, it's a great book from a man that grew up in the mission field and now heads Compassions International. It's such a sweet story. We sure miss Avery, but I know she is having fun and sounds great every time we talk.
I'm so happy for Avery. What an adventure she is having. She is going to have such stories to share you. You will have a great visit upon her return.
Blessing to you both...
