Moving Into A New Season

I got this picture from allposters.com and I just loved it. As it gets colder I am reminded of getting back into my crocheting. I love sitting with a comfy quilt and having my yarn and needle. I can only do it for a while because of my 'arthur' in my fingers. I love to have something I can say I made. I've never learned the special stitches, but I do enjoy making scarves. I would love to learn how to knit. If anyone has any special books that help someone to learn that is somewhat challenged please let me know.
It was in the 30's this morning and windy. I loved it. I had chili for lunch and it was fun looking out the window of my office. It was neat seeing people from our building scurry over to Whole Foods. When it first opened we went there a lot for lunch, but now we just call it 'Whole Paycheck' as it is pricey. When I walk in there the smell reminds me of when I lived in Germany. The stores had the same smell and I can't put my finger on exactly what it is. If anyone knows please share.
I need to visit you guys and see what's happening. I have been so tired the last few nights I had to go to bed earlier than normal. Happy Happy.

Hi Nana Trish!
Just thought I'd pop over for a visit ~ hope you are feeling better!! You were so sweet to leave me good wishes about my little tire problem. I was scared out on that road all by myself at dark! But, hopefully, I'm good to go for another few miles. Hopefully! :) It's cold down here tonight ~ they said 30's!! I'm not used to it being that cold this early. Knitting sounds good wrapped up in a quilt right about now, too!!! Happy Halloween hugs, Bebe :)

I've always admired those who could crochet or knit. My aunt tried to teach me once and it didn't take. We have a Whole Foods, too, but it's not on my way to anything and I forget to go. And you're right, it is a little on the pricey side.

My dad always said the "arthur" was the worst of the "ritus" brothers! Stay well.

It definitely sounds cool out your way...I'm surprised! We know it's coming...but have enjoyed the most gorgeous fall days this past week. Soon we'll all be sitting around the fire and knitting. My knitting is pretty basic as well..no fancy stitches in my projects.

Hi Trish - hope your day goes well - don't let 'arthur' keep you down!

Nice reading you and you paint a cozy picture, snuggled up knitting.

We don't have a whole foods near where I live but I've been to one near where my son lives.

Stay cozy... I knitted once in my life, and crocheted one afghan...

I enjoyed it and that was years and years ago. I wouldn't mind learning again.

Hi Trish!
I love to crochet but never seem to have time of late to do any. I like to quilt too (just tied quilts & hand quilting on fabric that looks like a quilt pattern) How do we get so busy to not get to those things? I've GOT to make an attempt to get my hook out again!!
Wes made some awesome chili on Sunday for our family and it was so nice and fall tasting!
Hugs and feel better soon! Sherry
I'll keep you in my prayers Trish.

My sister crochets nicely and has even tried knitting. I'd love to learn one of these days....

And one of these days I'm also going to have to visit a Whole Foods store. I keep hearing about them and they sound just wonderful!
