Saturday evening I took Avery to Hannah's birthday party. The kids played laser tag and of course, ate birthday cake. All the other little girls played on the arcade games. Avery played pool with one of the mothers. She has been playing it on the computer and couldn't believe how much harder it was than on-line.
She is growing up so fast and it's hard for me to believe she will be nine in a matter of months. My little sweet baby is a big girl now and I'm so thankful for her. God has been so good to me!!!

Avery looks like a pro in the picture! Nice post!
Patti, you are on of the best grandmothers that I know. Avery is a reflection of you and all that you have put into her. There is no love like a grandparent's love; it is so accepting and genuine. She is a doll, and so are you!
She is beautiful. It is quite frightening just how quickly the time goes. I'm sure it used to drag when I was younger.
She does look like a pro! I have a feeling I wouldn't be very good! ha!
Thanks for the laugh out loud message...just start logging in those calories and get a great big old mirror...Kirkland's has cheap ones...cause in no time at all you will be gorgeous!!
Avery looks very grown up next to that pool table...she's a doll!
Blessings!!
I can see the avid concentration on her face. She holds that pool cue like a seasoned professional!
Hold on to every memory, Nana, it is these wonderful moments that give life meaning!!!
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away!"
Trish - your postcard arrived in the mail today! It is wonderful - tell Avery it is the coolest postcard ever! Love it!
I'm sure pool is more fun at a table than on a screen!!!
Hi Trish
Avery is such a sweet girl and it's so nice you are able to spend so much time with her.
Thanks for all your nice comments --you always make me feel good!
I love how much you treasure your time with Avery! She is a special girl to have such a Nana!
I echo your sentiments...granchildren are such a blessing! And they grow up far too quickly. Enjoy your little treasure.
I remember as a girl when we got our first pool table and my dad set it up in the garage. We had such fun. I bet she'll end up a pool shark, she's got the pose.
