Flowers are a Gift from God

When I look at flowers there is something within me that sings. There are so many beautiful flowers and each has it's own beauty. I never get tired of admiring God's gift of flowers. I have never been very good at growing them. My mother had a passion for raising them. My daughter has a green thumb too. Now Avery, my granddaughter seems to have a love for them.
We are so blessed to be able to see the beauty. Do we take it for granted? I work with restoring people's vision and I am always reminded that this will give the individuals a second chance at witnessing God's tender love in the petals of the flowers.

Nice post - beautiful pictures. I do the lawn and stuff, but my wife does the flowers. Flowers placed here and there turn a dull landscape into something eye catching!

Hi Nana Trish,

Thank you so much for your visits, words of wisdom and prayers. This has been a long week but having Jayde and Hailey here right now has helped us focus.

I love the rainbow in the picture also. It does mean hope.

take good care my friend.

many hugs,
Barb

I think we take a lot of things for granted but I hope we never forget God's gift of flowers and colours!

So true, Nanatrish. Flowers are among God's most beautiful creations. And their perfume is so heavenly....Avery must have inherited her great-grandmother's green thumb...

Ah Trish what a wonderful post. I have always loved flowers but am a terrible gardner! My youngest daughter who is legally blind always got so close to see and smell the flowers asked my when she was about four years old, "Mama did GOD put all the color and smell just here just for me?"...and I answered, "yes baby"...

how blessed we are to be able to see the flowers when there are folk who cannot.
Yes my house does smell beautifully of roses when they are all in flower and I can bring a large vase of them indoors.
Unfortunatley they make my eyes water and my throat itchy. I do put up with it though.
