Monday Monday

As another Monday winds down I look back at how this little day went. I have been sleepy all day long. I think getting up to go to the restroom about 42 times in one night does something to one's sleep patterns. I think this Prednisone does a number on my kidneys and I just want to go go go. So, needless to say, I have been trying to keep my eyes open all day long. At least the poison ivy/crud is much better. What an ordeal! It's been a month of fun with this junk.

Not to change the subject, but....why am I getting these lines on the sides of my mouth? It looks like a puppet of some sort. Not attractive. I guess I need to keep smiling all the time to take the lines away. Then everyone will think I have truly flipped out if I'm smiling constantly. Getting old is a challenge. I like it much better than the alternative, but it just has so many surprises. It's as if my whole body has just shifted. I'm not saying I ever looked like Cindy Crawford or anything, but my goodness, what happened?

I used to throw on a little makeup and away we go. Well, now it takes creativity. I don't want to look like a rodeo clown. I worry that my blush will look like I put it on in the dark. My lips are shrinking and I don't have a clue what that's about either. When did all this happen? I just have to keep reminding myself. Trish, we all get our turn. I suppose as long as my husband loves me and my granddaughter can stand to be in public with me....then I'm okay. I guess I really didn't have any photo shoots this week anyway.

Oh I hear ya! But I'm sure that you are as lovely as can be...we all need the extra character, right? :D

As one who gets put on prednisone for poison ivy, I appreciate all that you've been through this past month. Hope that you are well on the mend.

I used to like Mary Kay back in the day. Maybe when we get together I can do an order. I loved that thick night stuff. It was pink. Do they still have it?

I love your sense of humour about 'ageing'.

I too see lines where there weren't any before...and getting out of the house "presentable' used to be a heck of alot easier and quicker...I too wonder..what happened?

42 times in one night? That can't be right....I hope you are discussing all this with your pharmacist...

So sorry about the ivy...soon it will be a thing of the past. I am knocking wood...the fleabites are all gone....

I had to laugh at your line about the 'rodeo clown'....funny phrase...

Here's hoping that the poison ivy is finished with you...I've only had it once a few years back and it was just awful. That's what you get when you try to clear weeds from an area and you don't have a clue as to what poison ivy looks like (we have lots of Virginia Creeper here, and it twines in with it). Getting old...I just keep slapping on moisturizer and hope for the best! Thanks for visiting my blog.

Well, this certainly made me ch
uckle....you poor thing! Up in the night, poison ivy, etc, etc...that sounds miserable. I can relate to the aging thing....it's depressing to look in the mirror first thing in the morning over here, too....

Your Avery on the other hand, is stunning!

So with you on the little lines on the side of my mouth! I don't like it, because I smile a LOT! What IS up with that, huh? Yes, EVERYTHING takes longer now! :)

I guess its our way of being able to learn patience before we leave this earth, huh?!
