Let me say first that this picture is being shown only to let you see my new do. I hadn't realized how much I look like the housekeeper on The Brady Bunch. When did I get so old? Unfortunately, my office looks like a bomb went off, but this is me in my element. Another thing that tends to alarm me is that my lips are disappearing. The mirror seems to play tricks with me. I don't realize quite how old I look until I see a picture. Then I think to myself, "Who is that older woman?" Hello reality!

Now don't get me wrong...I am blessed. Many of my classmates have not made it to this age. In fact, I will get to meet up with one of my classmates from grade school tomorrow night at the airport. She is flying in for a layover on her way to Indiana. We haven't seen each other in 46 years. She was such a cute bubbly girl and I can't wait to see if she's kept that spunk. Kyla and I would hang out at our friend's house in the morning before we went to school. Our friend lived across the street and her parents left for work before the kids started streaming in. I remember hearing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and other early 60's tunes in their living room. I think when I see her I will be transported back to that house and our tangerine nail polish, Dr. Kildare and Casey shirts, gum wrapper chains, and super teased hair. Wonder if she'll be thinking, "Gee, Patti, you really got old!" You know what, I pray I'll get older and older before the Lord calls me home.

I think you look great!
It is a bit scary to think we are older than some of the people we used to know that have expired! The older we get, the more friends we lose!
One of the things we have to come to terms with! Lets just get on with it and hope we don't lose too many friends on the way!

Hi Trish!

You are BEAUTIFUL! I love your hairdo and you look fabulous girl!! I don't know how it has crept up on my either, but the reflection in the mirror is not the one I remember either. But it could be worse.

I was very apprehensive about going to my 40 yr class reunion, remembering how people looked in the yearbook. My friend Cindy said "Remember... THEY've aged 40 yrs too!" And they HAD!!

Have fun meeting your friend! I know you will!!

Hugs, sherry

Everytime I look in the mirror, there's some little 'ol lady following me ... ha ha

You look fine. It's fun having a short, perky hairdo. Thanks for sharing! :)

Ohhh sweet memories of the fifties. I love the memory of your folks sipping coffee on the front porch. Sounds like you had a lovely child hood.
Makes me want to sit down and sip coffee and relax. These days I am always grabbing a cup of coffee through the drive thru.

Things have certainly change.

Thanks for sharing your hair cut. It helps show off your spunky personality. I love it!

Dr. Kildare....oh how I loved him!!! Too bad he would never have returned my adoration. Hey,I think my bottom lip is disappearing as well!

Your haircut is really cute on you. I haven't had really short hair in 30+ years. I'm afraid to try it. I like it.

We're just teenagers held captive in crinkly bodies! Enjoy your visit with your old, but not old friend!

Like the haircut... very chic! You look great. I know whatcha mean 'bout the lips! Mine are falling into my mouth. And my top lip seems to be growing longer. Where'd my top teeth go? I'm just goin' with it! :)) Thanks for bringing back the memory of the gum wrapper chains. I was recently trying to remember how we made them.

I scared myself the other day when I saw my reflection in the mirror. That's o.k, at least we are alive.

First of all, Trish, you certainly don't look like Alice on The Brady Bunch in the slightest! You are beautiful!! LOVE the new do.

I haven't thought of gum wrapper chains in years and years. I loved those things. Thanks for the sweet memory.
