Breakfast for Dinner

I don't know about you, but I love to have breakfast for dinner. I only had cereal tonight, but it reminded me of when my mom would make a real breakfast for our evening meal. She'd fix the best scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, toast that was perfect with just the right amount of butter. It was so delicious. Now maybe I remember it as tasting fabulous and it really wasn't, but I don't think anyone would argue with me about it. She cooked it just right and I loved it. Why is it that our mothers cooked the best this or that? It must have been a very special ingredient. I think it was love.

Did your mama make you a special dish that you'll always remember?

Hey..you've been redecorating over here! :) I love to have breakfast for dinner, too! We had waffles and bacon one evening last week. It's such a nice change!

Hi Nanatrish. I don't mind breakfast for dinner now and again. You know, last night I made bacon & cheese muffins, and you had to fry the bacon first, in order to crumble it for the muffin mix. So there it was, 10 p.m. and the smell of bacon frying ! After the muffins came out of the oven, you know I had to have one right away, even though they were meant for next day's breakfast!

I love breakfast for dinner, too, especially waffles and bacon...or maybe breakfast burritos. Mmmm

My Mum used to be able to make a delicious meal out of practically nothing.
I remember her macaroni cheese & her lovely ommlettes best!

It is good to juggle the meals around sometimes! If I am stretched for time & I am on my own, a bowl of breakfast cereal in the evening, is just fine! Followed by yogurt.

I too love breakfast for dinner! It's always so different and easy. Hubby likes eggs - sunny side up - hashbrowns and bacon. I like pancakes with bacon. It's the sweet and salty thing I guess. Shoot me an email and let me know how the MRI went!

My mom was just the best cooked. Everything she made was excellent. But what I miss the most is just that someone else cooked for me!

Fresh raspberries out of the garden on waffles is a favorite weekend night dinner for sure!

We cook a 'real' breakfast for the evening meal sometimes when hubby forgets to thaw something for supper.

I can't remember my mother or anything she cooked. My step mom cooked many scrumptious meals for us through the years.
