Where Does It Go?

Lately I have been thinking a lot about time. Getting a handle on it is difficult. I understand the whole....as we get older the reference of all that's happened is different. But, why does it feel like it flies at lightning speed? Summers were so long when I was young and I couldn't wait to get back to school and be with my friends. Now it all zooms along.

I can remember things from fifty years ago and yet I may not be able to tell you what I had for lunch yesterday. Is it just me or do you have these time issues too? I started reading blogs in November of 2007 and in May of 2008 I started this blog. There's so much I still want to say and I'm so thankful for you. I love learning about your life and thank you for sharing mine.

Trish,

You are still young in my estimation and comparison to my age.

Time goes faster every year. Months fly by like weeks did when I was younger.

After my husband retired last year it has gone even faster.

Hope you are doing well!

What I find amazing is that it always seems to be Saturday again.
We love coming to your blog too, Nanatrish.

All the best,

I totally agree with you my sweet friend! When we were young, there wasn't hardly ANYTHING that vied for our attendtion. For example, remember when the movie came to town and it stayed there for weeks before the next one arrived? Now they are changing every Friday it seems. So many things challenge us for our attention.

I've always told my kids "time flies when you're having fun...and when you're not" Blogging is great fun. I glad I found this community.

I'm coming up on a birthday. After this one I'll be on the downhill side of 50. I remember thinking when I was young that it was possible that I would live in another century but that was so far in the future it seemed like it would never come. Now here we are almost 10 years into it. UGH!

The older I get, the more I think about this. And the older Grace gets! Also, as my hubby nears 50, I can't help but think that time is going by too fast. Our earthly lives are so short. Thankfully we have eternal ones to look forward to! xoxo

It seems the older I get the more I have memory and time issues. Not enough memory but loads of time. It used to be the other way around. :o)

You are so right about time...where does it go? It passes by especially quickly out here in bloggyland...but I think it is time well-spent with wonderful friends.

Well Trish I know what you mean about time...where did it go? I remember I couldn't wait to grow up, date, drive a car, get married and have babies. Now I have 9 grandchildren, and I still don't know where the time went! I do know, that I might being having lunch with you if you have time for me when I get to Lexington. I can't wait to meet. I feel I've know you for years! See you soon...
