I had to put the beach scene back up. I just can't get warm. For weeks and weeks now I was having the hot flashes and now here I am freezing. This hormonal stuff is so interesting. I just wonder how many of you lovely ladies out there have these same kinds of thermostat issues.

My husband complains about it when I'm home. I love to have the heat turned up and tons of covers. He on the other hand, loves the windows open and thinks it brings in nice fresh air. I totally think it's crazy. It's winter and I love to get all wrapped up and sip coffee or nice hot tea.

We have had the lowest temps and strong winds. If I could stay inside all the time I would be doing okay, but getting out in the wind just takes your breathe away. Work has been so challenging, with projects galore and although I hate to admit it...somewhat overwhelming. I keep thinking I will get caught up, but that never happens. I hope you are having a good winter. Life is short....have fun!!

I love your beach scene...your giving us all hope. I am sorry your work load has been so overwhelming of late. And the hormonal stuff...oh yeah.

But hey take a break from it all and come over and join my little GIVE AWAY. I found a nice new cozy chair for my bedroom and decided to do a post on it, and my nightstand reading material. A very good friend of mine has just published her first book, and that is the grand prize.

Blessings friend!

Hi Trish!

I've been freezing horribly this winter. It's soooo cold here! Today the wind chill factor was 0. Where's spring?? I know it's only February but I'm ready for spring!!

Have a great weekend and try to stay warm! Hugs, Sherry

Sorry to hear about your freezing weather...you sound like me...I like it warm and cozy in the house and my husband likes it in the mid 50's. It drives me nuts, we are never on the same temp.

Hey Dustye and I were just wondering the other day, what is it that you do for your work? Maybe you've mentioned it, but we were just wondering, it sounds like you travel with your job. Hmmm?

We woke up this morning to find snow everywhere. England does seem to "go to pieces" when it snows & I am waiting for news to see if the school where I work & where my grand kids go, is open or not.
Roll on the Spring, that's what I say.
My better half also likes to have plenty of cold air coming in the house & he doesn't like lots of covers on the bed & I like to have masses of duvets & blankets & to sit in front of the fire.

Trish, I thought of you when we went to Atlanta but since I was with other folks I didn't think trying to meet you would work out. As it was, we were on baby alert all day. I don't get over there very often during the week, but I would love to get to meet you too. We really live too close not to do it sometime.

As to the thermostat thing, I have been too hot all of my life. Somewhere in my 40s that began to change. Now I am cold unless I am too hot. It seems like I've lost the "just right" option. At least there is no one here to fight with over the temp.

It's -3 F here this morning. Now, that's cold! Jerry has a fire going in the wood stove. I'd love to share it with you! I mean I'd love to share the fire...not the -3! Spring is coming.

I like that picture too. Awww, yes, that warmed my toes too. Thanks. (I take daily horomones and no longer have thermostat troubles). ((Hugs)) ♥ ∞

Nanatrish my feet are like popsicles ever since my commute 2 hours ago, they can't get warm! I play with the thermostat all day, its either too hot or too cold...where is the happy medium....sigh....I'm sending you warmest wishes and hope the wind dies down in your neck of the woods. Keep toasty!

Beautiful banner photo. One thing I didn't have a problem with was hot flashes or that kind of thing. Thank God! I did turn into a "hag" though.haha.

Chemo has plunged me into menopause. I never expected it at all. I feel sometimes like I am actually glowing, or at least a beet red color. This appears not to be the case, but it is miserable bursting into sweat beads. No warning. It seems that when it starts, I'm stuck in hot flash hades for a quite a while. Barb's comment was very discouraging. I've been telling myself that 'this too will pass'. 19 years of it?!!!!! *moan*

Hot tea, hot coffee, hot anything - that's an A+ for winter.

We have a bed warmer on our bed with dual controls. We don't use it a lot, but it does come in handy. It's a mattress pad instead of a blanket, so you don't ever get that smothering feeling. My husband runs the website for the company that makes them if you'd like to check them out!

Hi Tish!

Life has certainly been keeping me busy these days. I always seem to be trying to catch up too, but busy hands and minds are a blessing too!

I don't suffer much anymore from hormonal issues...it came and went thank goodness. I do like to be warm and I always have a sweater on in the winter. It was -2 wind chill factor here today ..brrrr!

Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Pat

I'm always on the cold side as well...sweaters are good! And beach scenes are just what we need right now.

I'm with your hubby. I like open windowns and fresh air.

My thermostat does not work though according to hubby. I am either too hot or too cold so he is forever turning the central heating up or down.

Nanatrish, I'm sitting in the living room next to the gas fire and my feet are like ice. That won't stop me having the 9:30 p.m. hot flash. It's a rollercoaster, girlfriend - and we didn't even ask to get on!
