The very first thing I need to do is thank you so much for your prayers. I made it through the MRI all in one piece. Of course, I won't know the results until they get ready to share them. My husband drove up early this morning to go with me. He wanted to show support and I did appreciate it. After the procedure Mark and I went to IHOP and had a great breakfast together. Knowing how he hates the Atlanta traffic, it was very special to me.

I'm getting ready to watch American Idol. I need to just chill tonight. I appreciate all the great suggestions for relaxing. I usually read my bible at night and another book if I have the energy. On the weekends I love going to the park and reading while Mark and Avery ride scooters or, of course, going to the bookstore. Living in a bookstore would be the ideal place for me. I would serve scones and all kinds of tea and coffee. I would have my living part of the place in the back and the front would be a bookstore. I would have a couple of cats sleeping in the sun and my friends could drop by for a time to share and discuss books.

Some of you suggested I retire. I haven't always made such dynamic choices with money. Enough said. I am blessed that I have a job I enjoy, I just wish it wasn't so stressful. I guess that's just part of it though. So, needless to say, I will probably be in the workforce as long as the Lord allows me to work and gives me the strength.

Thinking of you during this difficult time.

That was so sweet of your husband to come and be with you today.
I can relate to how much that meant to you.

The book store story was one my husband could relate to. Except he would keep all the books himself. Are you near any Half-Price Book Stores? They are his favorite because of his Scotsman blood.

Yeah, the dream bookstore sounds divine! I would love to have one right here in Patterson but know that it would never be a success. Sadly, most people don't read out here.

We'll all be waiting with baited breath for your lab results. Hope the results are encouraging. :o)

Hope all is well with your MRI.

And once your health issues are resolved...you can start working on yur book store dream. That sounds like a wonderful plan to me.

Waiting....and praying!

I read an article recently in the paper that said reading a book is the #1 stress reliever followed by drinking tea or coffee, taking a walk.

We Christians know there's a little more than that we can do....

What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

~hugs~

Hi my dear friend,

One day at a time. I'm so glad hubby went with you. That does mean the world. I know my hubby quite often would rather be anywhere than a hospital or lab but he goes anyway. You and I are very blessed.

Know that He has your best interests at heart. God Bless you Trish. You will continue to stay in my prayers.

love,
Barb

I just stopped by for a first time visit. I also work in healthcare and for certain, it is stressful. I truly wish you all the best as you wait for your lab results.

The "dream" of the bookstore sounds like a place I would like to visit and "set a spell!" Take care...

My mother tried to retire and ended up going back to work after about a year.

She worked at least part-time until she was in her mid 70's! That always amazed me.

Praying for you to feel well. Sometimes I think back to when I had no chronic illness and pain and realize we don't realize what a gift good health is when we have it!

Christopher has had two MRIs in the past few months. The last one was of his head. He tells us he now has proof there really is "brainy". :)

PS: The bookstore with the tea and the cats... I'll move in, too. :)
