Just Playing Checkers

Avery and Papa playing checkers
I snapped this picture of my husband and Avery this afternoon. I loved watching them play together. It was so peaceful and watching her try to get some slick moves was amusing. She said that she hates it when adults let her win, so we always try to make it challenging.
I feel like the week between Christmas and New Years is such a time for reflection. I feel like we are getting ready for a clean slate. I also pray that I have accomplished what I needed to accomplish in 2008.
I hope you guys are having a great holiday season.

Wow! Looks like you have been enjoying your time off with family.(The weather around here has been terrific). I'm glad to be back from Cold Colorado. This is such a wonderful time to sit back and reflect on what the Lord has done for us. I also like to think about what He is doing in me and through me. May your New Year be filled with the Peace and Hope our Savior brings.Blessings,Cheryl

Trish, I have just gotten around to catching up with my blog friends. Looks like you all had a wonderful Christmas and a great vacation. Time is flying by with Jake home and in a couple of days we will head on back to Missouri to drop him off again. I pray the rest of 2008 goes well. I do remember those end of the year reports. I have to say...I don't really miss that part of working. :-D God bless and I'll stop by again soon.
