Avery and I landed safely and had such a wonderful trip to Rome. It was a great time and we loved seeing so many bloggy friends. My daughter doesn't quite understand the whole cyber experience with blog friends. Avery and I love to pretend and with lots of others pretending the same thing is just plain exciting. My job brings a full dose of reality day after day(remember I work with death everyday) and it is quite pleasant for me to go on these lovely cyber journeys.
I have started with the Simple Pleasures sharing and today is my first day. Click on the Simple Pleasures sign and get the details on the sidebar. Here's my first Simple Pleasure:
A warm towel. Yes, it's as simple as a nice warm towel. When I get out of the shower it seems chilly and I enjoy a warm towel. A girl I worked with years ago told me about a girlfriend she knew that was brought a hot cup of coffee in bed every morning by her husband. Then he would go to put her towel and a dryer sheet in the dryer for a few minutes while she was taking her morning shower. He then brought her the warm towel. Now to me....that was love. My husband traveled all the time so I started warming my daughter's towel after she took her shower before getting ready for school. It would smell good and had the added warmth from the dryer.
Hope you have a warm cozy Wednesday! God Bless You!!

Beautiful post! I always put my sons clothes in the dryer so they would be warm when the got out of the shower. Jake mentioned they don't do that in basic training or in Military Police school!
Hi Trish!
I'm so glad you had such a lovely trip to Rome! You were so pampered and given the royal treatment you so deserve. I hope to go with you next time, schedule permitting of course!
Ahhh the warm towel sounds so delightful! The only time I've gotten something warm like that was after surgery!! Where have I gone wrong?
Big hugs, Sherry
LOL, and I thought I had it bad with just the two dogs!
Thanks for stoppy by. I always look forward to your comments.
We are tremendously proud of Jake especially since he had a couple of stress fractures in his kness during basic training. He comes home December 18 for Christmas.
Warm towels - what a nice thought.
That was a great trip to Rome.
What a fun time you had.
Smiles.
Like the idea of the warm towel waiting after a shower.
It is good to go on a fun trip sometimes and to get away from wintery conditions. I don't think youngsters would understand this, very well. Using our imaginations was a common thing for us to do when we were children.
Today, they have so much materially that they don't really need to do it.
It is nice to be home after 'traveling' to Rome, isn't it? What an exciting day! Italy is nice but there's no place like home ... especially Georgia! I love living here. To me, it's Paradise.
It's 29 degrees in SE Georgia this morning. Brrrrr!
I like the warm towel idea. That's so very thoughtful. That would feel really good right now ...

its 28 in Michigan this morning - better than 17 yesterday! Keep warm - a warm coat helps too!
Right now, it is so cold here in Alabama (24*), all I am thinking about it something warm, lol. TY for continiuing to make me smile with your blog. Blessings
Maggie, it's my daughter that's 37 that doesn't have the big imagination. My granddaughter Avery is 8 and the two of us go on oodles of imaginary trips and always have. She's not a typical little girl. She's very serious and thoughtful. She loves to pretend. Again, your short story was great.
I've been to lots of places in the world but never to Rome...that is until you invited me to go with you! What a special time. Thanks so much!
what a thoughtful thing to do!!
