Indian Summer Picnic

I have been invited to a wonderful picnic with Cynthia, Steviewren, Lavinia Ladyslipper and the gang. Here I am late and I'm dashing off fast as I can to meet the girls.
I thought I'd slip on my scarf. Stevie said it's a little chilly so we'll have a bonfire and we'll be singing. I can't wait.

This is where I dropped by to grab some yummy picnic food.

I took the liberty of inviting some musicians. Avery had to get up early for school and I thought I might be partying into the night with my buds.

Wow! You guys picked such a lovely spot. I'm getting closer. It seems like everything goes so slow when you are in a hurry trying to find your friends.

Avery and I came by here over the weekend and I snapped this. I thought I could get here faster if I made a trial run.

I'm heading to the Picnic. StevieWren just let me know I need to hurry along. I had to work late and then we are having a gas shortage here in Atlanta. So I had to grab this carriage. I can't wait for all the fun. This is so exciting!!Wait for me!!!!!!!

I'm sorry about the gas shortage. I love the carriage though! It makes for a wonderful ride on a crisp autumnal night! Here wrap this quilt around your legs so you don't catch a chill.

You guys are so sweet! I'm so glad we have such a nice crisp night for our picnic. Isn't the music lovely? So soothing. After all the clamour in this world we needed a nice peaceful break. Cynthia gave us such a wonderful picnic. Isn't she such a dear? Oh there's Lavinia over there with a group telling about one of her mysterious strangers. I think she could entertain us all night with all the exotic stories. I am so blessed to have so many fun friends.

Sorry about the gas shortage but the carriage looks like great fun! Have some chicken and corn and potatoes! You must be famished!

Ooh Nanatrish, you have injected a (sorely needed) touch of class to the picnic proceedings! Wow, that string quartet is fabulous, and is that Dr. Peck heading in my direction asking me for this waltz? Well really, I'm awfully flattered....of course my answer is yes, Dr. Peck, but first let me direct my dear friend Nanatrish to the devilled..what? what's that? It's actually Nanatrish you would like to dance with. Oh! well,! Really now....of course, you two, don't worry about me...go on now...enjoy the Blue Danube waltz....(sob sob sniffle sniffle).

Catching up with your posts Trish. That sandwich bar could have been in England.
What a lovely entrance to Mum-in-law's house.
