Happy Monday!!

What a beautiful Monday morning! We have been busy this weekend visiting family in Savannah and then we brought my BIL and his family here for a few days then they will be with my other SIL. We had a great Sunday eating southern Barbecue for lunch and Chinese food for dinner. Yummy food and great conversation. My BIL Keith married the sweetest Vietnamese woman, Thanh, and they have an adorable daughter, Ruby, that turned two Saturday. We had birthday cake and balloons and my sister in law in Savannah had a cookout with hamburgers and hot dogs. It was lots of fun and great seeing relatives we haven't seen in several years.
I am so blessed to have family. There have been times in my life that I didn't have a lot of family and now I am blessed with a husband that has 5 siblings. Avery and I headed out Saturday morning towards Savannah and had a great trip. I don't know about any other seniors out there, but lately I have been having a little trouble with my sense of direction. I used to be great about finding my way around. But here I am admitting on the www that I kind of got lost when I got into Savannah. We found ourselves on River street on the cobblestones. We were bumping along and Avery said, "Nana, this is like riding a horse." I had to admit that it was challenging, but I drove up stone road and headed east towards the beach. I don't know what happened there, but I just choose to look at it as a memory. :0). Maybe I need a navigation system?!?!?!

Sounds like a wonderful weekend...family...food...yum! As for a sense of direction, I've always been challenged that way! I was just talking yesterday with someone who got one of those new navigation systems and loved it on their trip to NYC. So glad you had a wonderful time!

Mama is "direction challenged" - I usually look at a map and can go right where I need to - and miracle of all miracles - I do stop and ask for directions if I need to! lol We travel through GA on our way to FL each fall - take I-75, maybe we can connect for lunch! Some place that gives Sr. discount! :o)

You had a great weekend by the sounds of it...as for the navigation system, maybe just teach Avery to read a map, if she is interested.....

Always fun to land here and catch up with you and yours....

Avery looks so cute in your new banner! One can tell she is concentrating fully on her next work of art...

I never had a good sense of direction Trish. My husband bought a GPS and it helps a little but very often it will take us on a way we'd never choose if we knew better --lol! So nohting is fool proof.

Glad you ahd a nice family weekend!
Love your new banner photo!

Your banner is really cute. Avery's a doll.

Yes, my new banner is my art offering for the week. The girl was a doodle that I did while on the phone again. I used it and a doodle of the bird, scanned them into the computer and began to play around. The limb and birds nest were cut from a logo I made myself a few years ago. I had been wanting to make a new banner for a while.

Sounds like you had a great weekend! My wife and youngest daughter are hopping on a plane to see our son and his family in SC. Looks like it is hot and humid there right now!
