This picture of 'Bringing in the Christmas Tree' is so touching to me. I remember days of years ago when we would go out and look for a Christmas tree in Indiana. The weather was so different from the South and I miss it sometimes. My mother used to always say that she and my Daddy never fussed until it was time to trim the tree. We don't have our tree up yet, do you?

I just finished getting mine up Friday night...then I saw some empty places and added more ornaments Saturday morning. I am not a believer in leaving negative space on a Christmas tree. *smile*

Not yet. I try to do things in stages. Last week after Thanksgiving I decorated the house. This weekend we did the outside. Next weekend we will put up the tree...we use a fresh one so I don't like it up to early.

We are in the middle of a fridget blast from the north right now and it definatley feels like Christmas.

Nana, I've done nothing yet - my activities today have consisted of nothing more than making a pot of crem of broccoli soup - the original recipe is for cream of cauliflower soup from the Pepperidge Farm cookbook that was given to me by an Air Force wife neighbor in 1974 when we were living in Tampa, FL. What's nice is that she recently found me on Facebook. We hadn't seen or heard from each other in about 25 years!

So far, No tree or Christmas decorations up yet.

It's small...but it's up and decorated with the rest of our Christmas cheer in our little humble abode (the RV).

I decided to get my tree up over the weekend (but it is an artificial one and doesn't take much effort.)

Love the picture! I have my tree up and decorated. I cut a fresh one on a farm just west of here. I hope the needles stay on for Christmas. Any suggestions?

This is our second year for an artificial tree. We always took pride in our live trees. But age has caught up with us. We were fortunate to find an 8 foot tree with fiber-optic blinking lights, they even change color...at a yard sale! It's a very beautiful tree and so we don't mind not have a live tree. But it's quite a change from having a live tree with the wonderful scent!
