Lazy June Days

We had a very relaxing weekend. Saturday afternoon we went to my sister-in-law's house for a cook-out. The food was delicious and we had a great time catching up about life. She has a really pretty garden, as seen above. She has a waterfall and a fountain and the sound of the water is so soothing.
For lunch today Avery and I went to IHOP. We enjoyed it and Avery explained to me some theories about black holes and worm holes. She loves science and has read a lot about black holes. Of course, a day is not complete until Avery and I trek to the Books-A-Million.

I love this picture. She seems so interested in this book. It's about a 16th century French girl. Avery is getting into photography and she shot the top two pictures. I think she did a super job. I think she may be getting a new camera for her trip to Hawaii in September. I would love for her to take some neat shots and be able to remember every bit of her trip. She will be going to public school this year. It will be her first time in public school, but she's excited and it will be an adventure. I pray she finds some little friends who have some common interests.
I hope this will be a super duper week for you. Why do the weekends fly by???

I love the photo of Avery curled up reading a book and she took some good photos. Obviously has a flair for photography!

What a wonderful photo of Avery!

Dick and I went to see the movie "My Life In Ruins" this weekend. Cute movie...there was a I-Hop executive on the tour bus...he was very over the top about I-Hop.

Glad you had a great weekend!

Why do weekends fly away...because we get to do exactly what we want to do...and that never lasts long enough.

Love you picture of Avery too.

You gotta try the Bolthouse C-Boost,...it really makes me feel better. Gives me a lift. I drink 1/2 cup a day. Dick will NOT go a day without his tart cherry juice.

Yes, we will be in town 2nd week of July...are you passing through?! You gotta stop in and see me! I'm right off the Watterson I-64...close to The Mall St. Matthews.

Jack is liking mama alot!...they think this week for sure. He has been in position for a month...Rachel is really uncomfortable!

Wooh yeah I just had a crazy one...weekend that is. I just love your stories about the life you share with sweet Avery. I love that you both hang out together in a bookstore. I do pray that I will have a similar connection with my grandchildren. You are a blessed Nana. And an inspiration to me!

Hugs, and have a great week!
