Back from the West Coast

I just can't get the blogger deal to load my other pictures. I will take my laptop to work tomorrow and see if they can check out why I am having these issues. This was going to be the last of many pictures in today's post. It was a view from our hotel and it was a fabulous sight to behold. That was a sailboat in the middle and it looked so pretty. Until I can get the other pics loaded I will tell you about what I thought of Seattle.

The people were very friendly. The views were gorgeous every where you looked. The art was everywhere. The food was some of the best I have ever had in my life. That's nearly sixty years and I have eaten tons probably.

If you ever, ever get the chance to go visit Seattle run don't walk to head to the airport. I must warn you though. It's very hilly by the wharf. There are great boats and tons to see. I hope you are not too disappointed about the pics, but I will try my best.

Great news! My daughter's biopsies came back no growth. I am walking on clouds. I will be back as soon as I get my computer to act right. It's good to be back.

Anniversary Cheesecake

Mika, Saira and our cheesecake
I know this was not what I should have been having, but.........it is my 19th wedding anniversary and Mark is 175 miles away. Two of my friends and I brought our lunch, but then I had found a gift card for Cheesecake Factory in an old purse. Well, it just seemed like the right thing to do. So this afternoon we got a slice of happiness. OMG, it tasted wonderful. I know, Trish, don't complain about your biggie hips and you go to the CF and get such a decadent dessert. I wish you could have all been with us. We laughed and talked about Mika's upcoming wedding. This was a happy day. The picture has glare but we were having fun. I really think it's a good idea to have as much fun as you can. I'm not saying shirk your responsibilities, but laughing is so good for us. Sometimes my life is so full of stuff that I forget about the fun part. I'm trying to remind myself of it. Hooray for cheesecake. It always makes me smile.

Lazy June Days

We had a very relaxing weekend. Saturday afternoon we went to my sister-in-law's house for a cook-out. The food was delicious and we had a great time catching up about life. She has a really pretty garden, as seen above. She has a waterfall and a fountain and the sound of the water is so soothing.
For lunch today Avery and I went to IHOP. We enjoyed it and Avery explained to me some theories about black holes and worm holes. She loves science and has read a lot about black holes. Of course, a day is not complete until Avery and I trek to the Books-A-Million.

I love this picture. She seems so interested in this book. It's about a 16th century French girl. Avery is getting into photography and she shot the top two pictures. I think she did a super job. I think she may be getting a new camera for her trip to Hawaii in September. I would love for her to take some neat shots and be able to remember every bit of her trip. She will be going to public school this year. It will be her first time in public school, but she's excited and it will be an adventure. I pray she finds some little friends who have some common interests.
I hope this will be a super duper week for you. Why do the weekends fly by???

Things You'll Probably Never Heard Said About Me

The following list is not exhaustive, of course, but will give you a taste of things that will probably never be said about moi. My mother used to tell me, "Patti, Never is such a long time!" So I'm not saying these things are impossible, but highly, highly improbable.

"Lavinia dear, I've always thought Trish was such a neat-freak."

"It's a shame that you're such a picky-eater, Trish."

"Did you see Sparky and Trish riding their motorcycles?"

Lil Cindi and Trish were off to get their tattoos. This was beginning to become a habit for them.

Janeen and Trish strolled out of the beach house in their tiny bikinis.

Betsy was crazy about Trish's adorable new 4 inch heels. Too cute.

"Look at this lawn. Trish really has a Green Thumb."

Stevie Wren and Trish climbed the mountain, then took their places on the bridge getting ready to bungee jump.

Debby, Kat and Trish, "Now there's some dare-devils!"

Trish stayed in the woods camping in a tent and loving every minute of it. She's so athletic.

I hope I have not offended any of my readers that love to indulge in the above activities. I just wanted to let you know me a little bit better.

Now...consider yourself tagged and I want to know what won't be said about you. Love you guys.

New Banner

This waterfall is not too far from our house in South Carolina. We pass by it to go to Avery's house and I have always loved the scene. Finally, Mark stopped on the bridge so I could snap a picture of it. It just all looks so peaceful to me and I think it would be great to have a house right by it.

This has been the best weekend. Friday night the three of us went to the drive-in and we saw UP. Then yesterday we went to a Chinese restaurant and afterwards Books-A-Million. Avery got some more of her Jim Benton books. She laughs and laughs when she reads them. Then last night we sat with her while she played some video games on Poptropica. It's a site her teacher showed the class. Then we watched some episodes of Gilligan's Island. Mark got the first season and we all enjoy them.

This has been a restful fun weekend. Some would think it was boring, but our gang thinks it's just great! I hope you have had a nice weekend. Back to work tomorrow!

Have a Happy Weekend!!! Happy One Year

A year ago this week I actually started my blog. I was at my daughter's house dog/house sitting. Her and her husband took Avery to Disney for her first time in the Magic Kingdom. I had been reading others blogs, but took the big plunge when I was at her place and had lots of time. Jolie took this picture of Avery at Disney World after her 'make-over' with Jasmine's costume. She has grown so much in a year. Thank you everyone for indulging me by letting me share her pictures.

Have a super duper weekend and I'll try to post if I can get the time. Thanks for one big wonderful blogging year!!!! Love you guys!!!! Remember, Have Fun...Life is Short!!!!
